This picture started out as one of the photos I took of the gorgeous sunset that I posted a couple of days back. Most of them were blurry shots taken from a moving car and today's piece is what I had intended to use them for from the start. I knew that the vibrant golds and blues would look beautiful if I used a paint filter on them, and they did.
I used the Impressionist filter in Corel's Paint It! Now but made sure to stop it halfway through when the brushstrokes were still large. I wanted it to look like a painting of fire; not a sunset. I think it worked out pretty well!
