I took today's photo a couple of weekends ago. It was actually a reference photo for another project I'm working on but I liked this one enough to use it here as well. I did an Instagram version of it, too. For this, though, I first started off by taking the photo in Camera+. When I got back home I used the Clarity filter from the Scenes menu then the HDR filter from the Special menu in Effects.
I didn't notice how the bark had been chewed off the bottom of the tree until I inspected the shot later. I looked it up online and it seems like it was probably the work of a porcupine since it looks more like bark stripping than rodent lumberjacking.
